چکیده
This paper presents a comparative study of 16-QAM, 32QAM, 64-QAM, and 128-QAM 140 Mbit / s digital radio in the presence of multipath fading. Conventional T-spaced and fractional tapspaced equalizers have been considered to compensate for the ISI-induced symbols. The performance measure used is the bit error ratio (BER); thus, upper and lower bounds on BER have been developed. Based on this calculation procedure, results showing the net fade margin versus the gross fade margin have been obtained in a variety of cases that include the presence of both nonlinear and linear equalizer structures. ’ T

This paper proposes hardware architectures of adaptive equalizers applicable to both the quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) and vestigial sideband modulation (VSB) systems. This paper presents digitization methods for QAM and VSB systems requiring a low hardware cost with the performance comparable to that of the algorithm employing oating-point operations. To reduce the hardware cost of the...
متن کاملA Novel QAM Technique for High Order QAM Signaling
The paper proposes a novel spread quadrature amplitude modulation (S-QAM) technique with high SNR improvement for high-order QAM channels. Simulated and experimental bit error rate (BER) performance analyses of the proposed technique in blind and non-blind equalizers are obtained by using single carrier (SC) WiMAX (IEEE 802.16-2004) radio. Instead of using any one particular type of channel pro...
متن کاملBER Analysis of MIMO-OFDM System using Different Equalization Techniques under Multipath Fading Channels for Different Modulations
With the rapid growth of digital communication in recent years, the need for high speed data transmission is increased. OFDM is a promising solution for achieving high data rates in mobile environment, due to its resistance to ISI, which is a common problem found in high speed data communication. A multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) communication System combined with the orthogonal frequency...
متن کاملStudy of Linear and Decision Feedback Equalizers on Fading Channels
For evaluating the performance of wireless digital communication system the most important part is the simulation of wireless channel, as whole performance of the system is depends upon it. The Band limited communication channel, due to its dispersive time response, may restrict the high data rate, due to Inter symbol Interference (ISI). If the ISI is not taken care off and compensated may caus...
متن کاملLinear Block Equalizers in Rayleigh Fading Channel with Normalized Channel Impulse Response
Linear adaptive equalizers are widely used in wireless communication systems in order to reduce the effects of the channel distortion. Various researchers have used linear block equalizers for different modulations techniques. In this paper the BER performance of different M-PSK and M-QAM modulations with the block based LMS and RLS linear equalizers are compared over the flat and frequency sel...
